Doh !

I looked at config.log myself -

configure:5452: checking ipmiconsole.h usability
/usr/include/ipmiconsole.h:35:31: fatal error: freeipmi/freeipmi.h: No such file or directory

/usr/include/ipmiconsole.h:35:31: fatal error: freeipmi/freeipmi.h: No such file or directory

I was missing the package "libfreeipmi-dev” … I finally got it now :
